Agnes Sasson
Agnes Sassoon was deported to Dachau in November 1944 at the age of eleven, directly from the Jewish school in Budapest. She does not know whether her brother and parents are still alive. She experienced liberation by the Allies in Bergen-Belsen, a mere skeleton. She vividly describes everyday life in the concentration camps and the typical fate of an emigrant after the end of the war. It is the report of a woman who survived as if by a miracle - and whose will to live and to understand and love could not be broken by even the most cruel experiences.
